What liquid allowance can a 7 year old take through security with when flying with Ryanair

My SO and I are taking his 7 yr old daughter away to Tenerife for 7 days.
There is no guidance on whether she has her own liquid allowance as she’ll need her own shampoo, conditioner, shower gel , Calpol etc.
Has anyone got any guidance or advice ? I am assuming she is treated like another adult and has her own 100 ml bottle limits like myself and Dad have?

OP posts:

Yeah, she gets the same allowance

There is no liquid allowance. You can take as much liquid as you like but it has to be in 100ml bottles or less and in the clear bags.
pack it in your stowed luggage!

You assume right. She's just classed as a passenger on the flight, so her stuff can just go in a clear baggy like yours will. It's usually one baggy per passenger (though as a family we usually chuck all baggies in the same X-ray tray, they're not fussed as we don't exceed 4 of them and they can see we're a family unit).

Put it in your checked in luggage.
I never take liquids in carry on.

Same as an adult.
Look at airport website for instructions as they have different rules on type of bags

This is wrong. Just flown to Spain and back with Ryanair and it’s a max of 1 litre liquids in 100ml bottles. Had a nightmare with my 2 daughters trying to prioritise make up over shampoo because they’re ‘only’ allowed up to 10 bottles

"There is no liquid allowance."

Yes there is. You're allowed what fits in the approved bag and it needs to be sealed. You can't just take as much as you like.

I never check in luggage, presumably the OP would've thought of that if she had a check in bag 🤣

And a max of 1 litre for Ryanair

Doggydarling · 25/03/2023 13:28

Isn't the liquid allowance set by the airport not the airline? I've never seen an airline search bags to examine liquids being carried. Some airports have improved their security systems and done away with liquid restrictions on outbound journeys (Shannon is our nearest airport and they've no liquid restrictions nor do you need to take electrical equipment out of luggage).

Taking liquids, aerosols, and gels into the airport and on-board an aircraft is strictly subject to current EU Security Requirements.
When passing through airport security screening, you will need to keep in mind:
• Each item of Liquid carried must be in a container of no more than 100ml (3.4 ounces);
• All liquids should be carried in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag of up to 20cm x 20cm with a total capacity of up to 1 litre;
• You must be able to completely seal the bag and be able to fit it in your hand baggage;
• The bag of liquids must be taken out of other hand baggage to be screened separately.
If you are travelling with an infant (8 days-2 years), you can bring as much baby milk, powdered milk, sterilised water, and baby food as you need for your flight even if this exceeds the usual limit on liquids. These don’t need to fit in the transparent bag that is needed for all other liquids but please have them ready for inspection by airport security.
You can also carry-on board as much liquid medicine as you need for you flight. Your medicine does not need to fit in the transparent bag that is needed for all other liquids but please have it ready for inspection by airport security.
