So a good friend of mine is planning to spend a month travelling Vietnam and Malaysia in May. I had this crazy idea of joining her for a week in Vietnam. Had a chat with partner last night and he thinks it's a brilliant idea and can easily manage work with the kids for a week. I'm on a career break and not starting new job until mid May and financially I could do it at the moment. Would miss partner and kids and never been away from them for that long but I can't lie, the thought of lazing on a beach child free seriously appeals.
So plan is to fly into Hanoi. Keeping in mind I only have a week so won't be able to see much of the country what would people suggest we have on our must see/stay/eat list?
