Upto 7 days
Don't really mind where in UK
Have just booked a couple of shockers the past 2 years - so any recommendations of specific places welcome
Would like to be driving distance from the coast
Pool / play area for 3 year old would also be good

If you can afford it, Center parcs is awesome! It’s just stupidly expensive in the school hols. If you can hold off until September, go then. We paid £500 for a week and it was fab (more like £1500 in august). Pools are so warm and perfect for all ages, lots of food options, activities. You can rent or take bikes, just take the bike seat if you have one. It was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had and ds was 2. Went boating, fishing, walking, cycling, watched the deer. Never a dull moment.

alternatively, check out rentals or hotels in Cornwall. The beaches are beautiful.

best holidays with kids is pool access, so check for hotels with pools in Cornwall and you can’t go too far wrong.

North Norfolk coast?

Dorset is lovely with a 3-year-old - particularly if s/he is into fossils and dinosaurs. Lots to do down there - fossil hunting on the beach at Charmouth, the ammonite beach at Lyme Regis, Weymouth Sealife Centre, Seaton Tramway, etc

Watermouth Castle was very good and pool and theme park on site, by coast etc.

I love devon cliffs in exmouth. It is my favourite place in the UK. A but pricey as it is Haven, but there is something for everyone. I love it and my kids always have too.
Beautiful coastal walks, boat trips, beach is lovely, play areas and entertainment. Little activities for little ones.

Searles in Hunstanton. It’s got a good splash pool and 2 bigger ones. There’s a small soft play. It’s 5 minutes walk from the sea.

What about the New Forest? You could spend a day at Peppa Pig World not far away in Romsey, which might be the highlight for the 3yo. Seaside is also within reach.
