We are going to Paris early April. Tourists there at the moment on a Facebook group (Paris Travel Tips and Plan) seem to say it’s no problem, you can avoid the areas where protests are happening. That was before yesterday though and numbers/tensions do seem to be rising.

Thank you. I've just had a look at the FB group. Very helpful. As you say though, no very recent updates and we are due to go on Sunday, until Wednesday. Hard to know what to do. Just keen for a fun few days away and don't want to get caught up in anything nasty.

We were due to go on Thursday last week but our Eurostar train was cancelled. All our plans were messed up. Plus our train from Paris to Brussels Sunday 27th ( yesterday) was cancelled too. I’ve been caught up in the riots before and I wouldn’t recommend it! We thought we had avoided it and were really careful but nope somewhere we turned a corner on a street and were met with hundreds of police facing down the rioters plus petrol bombs. Not to be recommended.
