30th birthday trip

It’s mine and my husbands 30th birthday December & January.

we’re looking to do a big trip but are stuck for ideas due to the time of year.

Where is hot and a wow trip for that time
of year?
2 adults and a 5 year old. Budget of £10k.

The Maldives was my first thought. Hot and usually dry at that time of year.
Mauritius is another option.

Have a Google and then see what your budget allows.

Costa Rica

Anywhere in the far east is perfect or a safari like Kenya.

South Africa

Mexico is fabulous at that time. 30 degrees pure sunshine.

I know it's not a hot destination, but last year in December, for my 30th birthday we've been to Lapland! Pure magic!

Otherwise I'd recommend Kenya/Tanzania.

Australia or New Zealand.

Hi OP. If your budget is 10K I would 10000% recommend Turks and Caicos or the Bahamas. I still reminisce about going back there 😍

Sri Lanka is lovely at that time of year. Your budget will stretch quite far. I do recommend the trains or a driver though rather than self drive, the roads are interesting! I was fascinated by the fact they have UberTUT!

Thanks for all the recommendations, I did look at Maldives but a lot of the hotels were out of budget. Will have a look at some other destinations you have suggested!
