DISNEYLAND Paris - character help please

my friend is taking ds6 to DP in a couple of weeks. the other child going is a real Disney fan. I'd quite like ds to watch some Disney movies before he goes so he will know at least some of who the characters are.

can you let me know which of the main characters that the rides are based on or the main ones in the parade/character breakfasts? they are staying in the santa fe.

Focus on Classic Disney and you won't go too far wrong - Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. Chip and Dale work hard for a living too. Between them the classic characters do most of the breakfasts, etc. Other than that - Aladdin, maybe, Toy Story (Buzz and Woody), and Monsters Inc. 6yo boys are almost certain to spend a lot of time on the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Also get him a little notebook of some sort to collect autographs in.

these are exactly the sort of thing i wanted they are great.

in a parade photo i saw there were green army sort of men they looked like the old fashioned plastic soldiers you get - any ideas?

They are from Toy Story - all will become clear if you watch the film. Parade has princesses, goodies and baddies from the films LIZS mentions, and a few others who I can't remember right now. Mary Poppins, but small boys might not be that interested?

what is chip and dale - is there a disney film or just a character.

i will list the films im hoping to get him to watch - anyone whose been to DP could you tell me which ones not to bother with. he will watch them all in time but not until he gets back. thanks
