We just got back from New Zealand, arriving 6am this morning UK time. I have been trying to follow the usual advice for jet leg - eating according to UK time and trying to stay up until close to normal bedtime. However my 8 month old DD has been sleeping all day and I just haven’t been able to get her to stay awake for any significant period or drink more than half her normal bottles. I’m dreading tonight as I’m totally knackered and can barely stay awake now but she’ll probably be awake. Any tips on how we can get over the jet leg faster? Would you sleep when the baby sleeps if you were me and slow down my own adjustment or just wait out a few nights of poor sleep? Strangely she was barely jet legged on the way out but it might have helped that we arrived at our final destination close to bed time.
