Anyone's children not liked a holiday to Disney?

I know that this might be possibly unheard of - but wondering if anyone's children didn't enjoy it.

I am currently in the early (ok, VERY early stagesgrin) of planning our holiday and want it to be great for my ds. He will be just 7 when we go and i am torn between adding on a couple of days in Disneyland or not.

Now, my dh will hate it, i will be ok and i'm just not sure about ds. He says that it looks fun, but he is not really a theme park kid, hates anything faster than the swing carousel, and not impressed with shows. We've tried him with Legoland!

This isn't sounding good is it?

It's just i have this nagging feeling that if i don't take him, i might have missed out on some great times/memories with him while he is at this great age. But, it will add on about £500 and an extra 5hrs driving to get there. Will i regret not taking him?

Help !!!!!

there's such a variety of things to do, it's not just about rides. The shows are amazing, and the waterparks are fab. He might enjoy Animal Kingdom, MGM, and Epcot more than the Magic Kingdom, although I think it's still worth a visit. Seaworld also fab. We didn't do universal, would do that over disney if we go again as the children will be older. Can recommend the Brits guide to Orlando - get a current version tho as constantly updated and especially good re advice on which parks to go to on which day to avoid the worst queues
