Amsterdam hotel recommendations

Looking for any reasonable hotels you would recommend for a four night stay in June for myself and two daughters (age 14 and 20)
Would like somewhere convenient and central..TIA

Hotel Estherea on the Singel canal. Very central, in the 9 Streets area, and only a 20 minute walk to the Rijksmuseum. Fairly mad decor, but lovely rooms & good breakfast. Family-run, so nice to get away from chains.
Good selection of restaurants on Spuistraat behind the hotel.
We are just back from our 3rd visit to this hotel, so highly recommend.
