Going to Algarve on Thursday what clothes do I need?

We are off for a week to Vilamoura & I don't know what clothes to pack. Does anyone live there or have been there recently to tell me what I should take? Jumpers or just long sleeves...surely not t shirt weather?

My mum is just back and was in tee-shirts during the day and cardigans in the shade/at night. However, we are from the north so are quite hardy! She has a smashing tan.

Wow, we are tough northerners too, near Newcastle, so we are used to cold...if it's above 8 then I will be happy!
