Wanting to go with DH on a 3 night citybreak in April. Where would you choose between Barcelona, Seville and Lisbon? The only one we have been to is Barcelona but love it so much due to ease of getting around, quality and reasonable price of restaurants etc. Happy to try somewhere new if they compare .

Seville is my favourite of the 3. Weather should be good too.

Have you thought about Granada? Lovely little city, plus The Alhambra.

Been to Barcelona and Seville. Seville is my favourite.

We are doing Porto but Seville is next on our list so would have to be that.

Madrid, food is amazing and shouldn’t be too hot in April.

Lisbon. Completely beautiful and all the natas you can eat.

Lisbon

Don't Alhambra tickets still sell out months in advance?

Since you’ve already been to Barcelona I would discount that and consider either of the other 2 wonderful cities.

Lisbon has lots to keep you occupied for 3 nights. You can visit the castle, ride the yellow trams, discover the old town. You could do a day or afternoon in Belem & eat pasteis. Or get the train to Sintra and explore.

Seville has the Alcazar, a lovely cathedral and plaza de espana which is stunning!

I think we have decided on Lisbon. Does anyone have any ideas of where to stay? Which neighbourhood would you stay in? Is it easy to get to from the airport?

We went to Lisbon for our 20th Wedding Anniversary in September - loved it. Stayed in Memmo Alfama hotel which had a rooftop terrace with stunning views.

Very easy to get around on trains/trams.. and loads of tuc tucs!

We got the underground from the airport and was straightforward. We bought a viva viagem card at the airport underground station and it's a top up card you use on public transport.

We did a food tour in the old town.. so found all the small local traditional restaurants.

We found it easy to get around.

Enjoy 😊

We stayed at the Epic Sana which was beautiful! Rooftop pool, spa, all that.
Not too far to walk into the centre and an amazing Italian restaurant just around the corner. Really reasonable too.
