Can’t decide. We have been spoilt by East Cypriot beaches (turquoise sea, turtles, white sand, rocks to jump from) but want to try somewhere else. Not Malta, know it well.

These are our considerations:

Decent hospital not foo far - son has epilepsy - well controlled but I will be more relaxed. This is where I struggle as we, including him want to be more adventurous. His old Greek consultant said many Greek hospitals were fine, unfortunately can’t quizz her now!

Blue, clear water beaches with snorkelling if poss

Jellyfish - prefer there not to be stingers, turtles preferred

A nice town/villages for evenings

kids age 13 and 15

thank you
probably asking for too much 🤦‍♀️🤷😂

We've not been yet (due to go later this year) but the Azores has snorkelling, dolphins, whales etc.

Not sure how big Ponta Delgada is, we are staying in Furnas at a spa hotel. There is a hospital on that island.

Sardinia has some great snorkelling spots and the health care in Italy is pretty decent.

We love Fethiye, have been going for the last 10 years. We ended up taking my son to hospital there last year as he broke his arm and just took him to the local state hospital. He was examined, xrayed and plastered up within an hour and we were sent on our way with images of the X-ray to show Drs back home, we didn't bother going through insurance as it cost us £35.
Since our last trip it would appear he too has developed epilepsy, we are waiting on MRI results but he has started treatment anyway. I feel fully confident in travelling there especially after our treatment last year, I think there's actually three hospitals there but while the basic state one was no frills his care was excellent.

Menorca has great snorkelling and a really modern hospital.

Rhodes.

Gorgeous beaches with the clearest water I have ever seen. SO much to see. Great food. And I have actually taken my daughter to a hospital there (in Faleraki) as she had injured herself on a water slide. She received great care and I was very impressed.

As someone who has seen the inside of a Greek hospital I recommend Spain.

Skiathos might fit the bill.

Thank you, good to hear you had a positive experience. All the best with the epilepsy investigations ; it can be stressful but thanks to the meds available is usually well controlled and often kids grow out of the more common types 🤞
