Hi! Has anyone got any views good or bad about Icmeler in Turkey? Thank you!

We travel to Turkey a lot, spent a day in Icmeler and did not like it. It was very much the Brits abroad, HP Sauce, Bisto Gravy, Eastenders on TV type of place. By contrast we also spent a day in nearby Marmaris and its so much nicer and has a beautiful old town.

Thank you! I don't want anything brits abroad so I appreciate your input. I'll take a look at marmaris. I've stayed previously in Dalyan, Cirali beach and old town Antalya but fancy somewhere else this time.

If you liked dalyan and cirali then icmeler and marmaris are not your scene. Kas and kalkan more likely, possibly fethiye and gocek.

We go to Icmeler twice a year every year - we are quiet, DH doesn't drink.. I have the odd shandy/cocktail

Lovely walks, lovely restaurants and lovely people

We also holiday in USA, Croatia, France etc. but Icmeler is our favourite little one week May/September spot

We've taken the children to Marmaris lots of times too, probably more for them to do there

Agree very brits abroad. Also mega scared 4hr bus ride to get there from airport which I wouldn’t have done had I known what it was like,
