Travel insurance while waiting. For a scan

is it possible to get medical cover for a holiday if you are waiting for a kidney scan?

our usual provider would only provide travel insurance that covers no medical conditions (which kind of defeats the purpose) but are there better options!?

There are lots of companies who cover existing medical conditions but undiagnosed issues are harder. Try Moneysupermarket, compare the market etc as a starting point. They will allow you to search using your medical issues then gives details of insurers who will cover you.

when the consultant asked for a scan she said it could take until September for that to happen (which would be a problem for our July holiday)

but today she got invited for a scan on Monday! So unless anything was discovered the holiday should be much more straight forward
