DP & I would like to take PIL away for Christmas - MIL deserves a break!!
She has family near Exeter she'd like to visit - there will be 6 of us including the DC (8 & 6), I was thinking of self catering but a hotel would probably be easier so MIL can properly relax. Could anyone recommend a hotel or resort, probably around the Sidmouth area?
If there's Christmas festivities that would be great - we're looking at going Dec 23rd - 27th - but not essential, we can book a room and then somewhere separate for Christmas dinner if needs be.
Oh and any ideas of activities nearby for very energetic kids would be great, as I try to keep them entertained 
I really like the Sidmouth area but haven't been for about 30 years, so any up to date info would be great!
