Where to go after Disneyland Paris?

We are taking the kids (both 6) to Disneyland at the end of May. We will have 4 days after that before going home via Calais. We’d like to avoid any long drives and just spend the time between or around those two points. Any recommendations? 😀

My choice would be Le Touquet. It’s an attractive town with a large sandy beach, relaxed child-friendly cafes/restaurants and enough to do for a few days if the weather isn’t good enough for the beach. From Le Touquet, you can take the train to nearby Boulogne sun Mer where there’s a really good aquarium.
Alternatively, if you’re up for another theme park, then I’d definitely recommend Parc Asterix. It has a good range of accommodation and is quite a different experience from Disneyland.

Well, Paris?

Paris obviously

I would second Le Touquet/Boulogne Sur Mer. Lots to do for children: Chocolaterie de Beussent-Lachelle, Confiserie Becasuc, Nausicaa Sea Life Centre.

We took our children to Sunpark in De Hann in Belgium for 4 nights before we went to Disney, it’s like Centre Parks and it’s near the beach. We took the Euro Tunnel so drove.

Phantasia Land is 4 hours drive on the motorway direct from DLP, I know that's a long drive, but it's really fun!

Thanks for the messages I will definitely investigate these! I should have said we are not really looking to go to Paris this time. That would have been the obvious choice of course 😀

Bruges

Lovely small city, chocolate, bit of culture, frites and did I mention chocolate.

Less than 4 hours drive then less than 2 hours 2 ferries after.

I would do something super chill. We were knackered after DLP. I wouldn’t plan full on sightseeing straight after for example.

Thanks all, we are going to crash for one night in Compiegne after Disney and then three nights in Le Touquet. We have some neurodiversity among us so somewhere to chill at a nice beach will be ideal. Will hopefully remember to update this thread after with a review to finish it out 😀

Hi, I was just wondering how you got on with your Disney trip? We are also wondering where to visit for a few days after. Would you recommend Le Touquet?
