Where would you go with a friend in Europe in June for a relaxing week? Sun, sea, good food.

Wouldn't mind a bit of culture / ruins / historical stuff or interesting day trips but no need for city bustle or clubs... thinking a Greek island or maybe Menorca (is it very quiet?), Corsica or Sardinia maybe?

Sardinia, Sicily, Lake Maggiore (avoid the big lakes)

Lindos with a trip to Rhodes old town

Audax adult only hotel in Cala Galdana Menorca. Beautiful horseshoe bay with lovely walks (or kayak hire) to nearby beaches. Hire a car and explore Cituadella, Mahon and some of the other picturesque towns and even drive up the mountain. I can recommend Alaska tapas restaurant for a leisurely boozie lunch and people watching. X Have fun.

Barcelona

Côte d'Azur

Corsica and Sardinia are both lovely. Corsica has some amazing beaches especially on the easy coast and Bonifacio is worth a day trip. Sardinia has fab Italian food. Or Sicily? Not been but hear good things.

Turkey. I’d head to southern Turkey.

Croatia is lovely. If you booked a seaside hotel you could spend a day in Dubrovnik which is fabulous. Could take a boat from your resort to Dubrovnik.

I was also going to suggest Dubrovnik. It’s fantastic. Excellent food, beautiful landscape, historic walled city, lots of little islands nearby I’d you want a day trip. Haven’t been to Split (yet) but also hear great things about that.

Somewhere else I’d like to visit is Montenegro which I hear good things about. Apparently very beautiful and still relatively inexpensive I think.

Sicily

Valencia. It’s my favourite holiday destination.

2nd Sicily - I'm just researching for September and Taormina/Siracusa look amazing.

I don't know but I'm really jealous!

I've done alot of trips over the last few years with either just me and a friend or entirely solo and I really loved staying at the villa mandi in tenerife it was fantastic and I ate 2 nights in a row at the hard rock cafe!
However in May I'm heading to zakynthos and I'm very excited... flights with Jet 2, transfers, 15kg, 7 nights bed and breakfast/free mini bar at a hotel just of the kalamaki strip for 520! I'm planning on doing an island tour, maybe going to the aqua park and likely doing a historical tour, all in for food calculations and tours I wont spend more than 800!

Kefalona in Greece. Amazing place.
