Whwn to book a package holiday?

We're planning to go on a package holiday, 3 adults, to Majorca for a week in May but I'm not sure if it's worth waiting until nearer the time to get the best price.

Does anyone have an opinion about hanging on to book? Or should I just bite the (expensive) bullet?

Depends how flexible you can be.

If you want a particular hotel/dates/flight , I'd book now as you might not get what you want if you leave it for later.
What I would do is compare all the operators that offer what you want, e.g. Jet2, EasyJet, BA, Tui & also check what is included - luggage, transfers etc are sometimes an extra cost.
