Please recommend Birmingham Airport Hotel and info re what might be open in airport- 6am flight in Aug

Can anyone please recommend the best hotel near Birmingham Airport. Flight will be at 6am (ugh) - so guessing need to be at airport for 4am. And is it best to just use the airport parking?

Also- does anyone know if anything will be open at the airport at that ungodly hour? Especially for coffee / breakfast type things? If not, will go prepared with choc pain to eat before security. Thankfully have bacon rolls booked for the flight.

Normally flown from Bristol, so Birmingham is an unknown for us!

It's an airport, of course things will be open for the early morning flights! All of the opening times will be on the airport website, so you can plan where you want to get food from.

Birmingham always has everything open really early.

Look on Holiday Extras. You can book parking and hotel, I always use them.

opening times of shops and cafes are usually on the airport website but most should be open in plenty of time to serve the first flights of the day.

The Ibis is right at the terminal, so I'd park the car and then go to the hotel to sleep. Everything is open horrifically early airside

We've just stayed at Holiday Inn ,Bickenhill.About 5 min taxi ride to the airport,which was £10.00 or £20.00 for the 6/8 seater.
We paid £75 for 1 night stay and 6 nights parking.This was booked mid
last year though so probably gone up by now.
We left at about 6 in the morning and there was a full continental breakfast and drinks but not sure what time it starts.
Also theres a pub next door if you want a meal when you get there the night before.

Have also looked at the website for the airport to see which concessions should be open that early. Not everything is 24/7 in an airport, so good to hear from people who have been there that early.

Something like 80% of the flights at Birmingham go out between 6 and 9am, so it is really set up for it. I'm a frequent 6am visitor there

I always go for the Ibis which is just over the road from the terminal. There’s a Caffè Nero in departures that opens at 4am and a 24hr Greggs 2 mins walk away in arrivals

I stayed at the Novotel at BHX last week. Clean, friendly, just across from main doors.

I would honestly get there a little earlier than that. August will be busy despite the early start. It could take you an hour to check in, by then it could be 5am and the flight will start boarding 30-45 minutes before. Last year we barely had enough time to queue for a coffee before boarding for a 6am flight and we arrived two and a half hours before!

We stayed at the novotel. It was really nice and literally 40m from the departures entrance. Don't recall having any problem getting fed. Most places were open 6am flight.

I agree - we had a 6am flight from Bham in half term and we had no problem getting breakfast but security took ages! A 4am arrival would have been very stressful

We were there on Saturday and security was SO slow . We had to get rushed through the delays were so bad !
