Disneyland Paris as an obese person

Is it reasonable to prepare myself before I go that I won’t be able to ride on much? I’m going to try to lose some weight and increase fitness because I’m aware I’ll find the walking a strain. We’ve done USA so I know how draining it is but I was about 3 stone lighter then eek. Alton Towers/Thorpe park I couldn’t go on much as I didn’t fit.

Yep prepare yourself.

Could you not push back the trip till you've lost more weight so can enjoy it more?

There is a fantastic group on face book just for this .

I can’t remember it’s name sorry . Something like big at Disney

I was there as a size 16 and the bars in some rides I had suck in my tummy and hold my breath whilst they put the safety bar over me

Just look at the types of rides

There are so many there you'll find plenty to go on

The queues at night are much shorter so excellent with teens as no queues at all

There are people on TikTok who do videos on rides as bigger people at various Disney Parks so it might be worth searching.

Hi there, I just wanted to add to this thread as I have just got back from DLP as a plus size person and thought it would be helpful to share my experience.
I am a size 28 and big everywhere (shame on me, I know!) and spent months crying about going to Disney due to my weight and the worry of being embarrassed and not fitting on rides.
However, I had a great time and my weight/ size was not an issue at all, surprisingly! I didn’t go on every ride but I did the following:
Buzz Lightyear Lazer Blast - no issues at all. Bar comes down with loads of room.
Star Tours - 4D ride - no issues at all. Large extendable seatbelt that seemed to go on forever!
Tower of Terror - same as above
Big Thunder Mountain - no issues at all just pull the bar as far down as you want/ can
Phantom Manor - same as above
Peter Pan’s Flight - same as above
Ratatouille - same as above
Slinky Dog - same as above
Snow White Ride - same as above
Carrousel - this had a seatbelt and was the most snug. I did slightly panic it wouldn’t do up but it did (and you do have to wear it as an adult)
Pirates of the Caribbean - boat road, no belt/ bar
It’s a Small World - same as above
Tea Cups - not the most comfortable for me with two other adults in but I did fit fine
Molly Brown - a lovely boat ride where you can stand (or sit if you’re lucky enough to get one of the few seats!)

There are loads of other things to do too like shows, meet and greets, parades etc too!

Just wanted to reassure you really with a recent experience.

I hope you have the best time! X

I've gone a few times as a size 24, 5' 8''. I fitted on everything. The only ride I had trouble with was Orbitron, and that was more the awkwardness of getting out of it, because you're basically sitting on the floor.
