Hello,
Could anyone recommend a hotel in London for a 2 night stay with my 11 year old in August? Even Premier inn is really expensive.
Thanks :)

Where in London?

Turmerictolly · 11/03/2023 16:46

Maybe a Premier Inn a short overland train away. The ones at Lewisham and Sidcup are literally opposite the stations. Lewisham is a 10 minute train journey to Charing Cross (centre of London by Trafalgar Sq). I'm sure there are others near train/tube stations too.

Thanks both. We are coming into Waterloo so Lewisham wouldn’t be too bad. I also though about Clapham too.

If coming into Waterloo, maybe try Woking (20 mins to Waterloo) or somewhere else on the way? You're probably out of luck if Premier Inn is expensive.

If there is a deal on try Park Plaza Westminster Bridge...it's a short walk from Waterloo and nice enough

Or Park Plaza County Hall...it's next door

OP, have you checked prices for the Premier Inn at Archway? Straight up the Northern line from Waterloo and hopefully cheaper than the more central Premier Inns.

Premier Inn Wandsworth
A bus will take you there

I always go for PI at Southwark or Holiday Inn Express near Westfield. Tend to be cheaper.

London hotels are crazy expensive compared to pre-pandemic. I’ve just booked 2 nights at the Premier Inn near Victoria for almost £400. I used to pay £100 a night or less.

www.noxhotels.co.uk/en/hotel-west-end-lane-ii-in-west-hampstead/?partner=6734&utm_source=google&utm_medium=gmb&utm_campaign=web_link - Dsis stayed here. It’s in West Hampstead which isn’t central but a direct tube to Bond Street in about 15 mins and a really nice area with lots of bars and restaurants.
