Long Shot but wondering whether you well travelled mumsnetters can help.

It's our grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversary in September and we are a fairly large family so decided we will go away for a weeked, because there are a lot of young children we want something that will suit them but also with the comforts that can suit an elderly couple in there 80's. Therefore our idea was perhaps we go to a holiday park or caravan park where the majority of us could stay in lodges or caravans and there is plenty for the kids BUT.... we then also need a site which as got a hotel or b&b on site or literally within a couple of minutes walk for the grandparents.

We live in Manchester therefore don't want to be travelling a great distance Any advise would be greatly appreciated....

Have you thought about a Youth Hostel?? I know this might conjure up scary images but I think that lots of them have had big facelifts in the last year and many have got accommodation that can be booked exclusively for larger groups. And they're also really cheap to stay in, have got properties in some really stunning locations and won't bat an eyelid at hordes of children! It might be worth a look... www.yha.org.uk

Have a look at the Coach House at Ribby Hall which sleeps 12 I think. Then there are various lodges/cottages. It's a holiday park near Blackpool like a mini Center Parcs and much cheaper. Here www.ribbyhall.co.uk/short-breaks-holidays/coach-house/
