So my budget is probably £2-£3k for a week, I'm looking for nice weather as my toddler is a water baby. A paddling pool with slides and a nice beach. Nice varied food as going at least half board is just easier at the moment. Preferably a bit of culture nearby (although happy if it's a short excursion) and I'd prefer to avoid the tacky tourist traps/hen and stag do hotspots. And a room with a nice balcony we can escape out to as we will probably be stuck in the room from 9pm onwards.

I can't seem to tick every box. Cala Galdana and Puerto Pollensa is the best examples of the sort of resorts I like, however the weather might be a bit hit and miss in May so perhaps Greece, Canaries, Cyprus or Turkey?

Any suggestions of hotels very welcome. x

The first choice holiday village Aliathon in Paphos was brilliant for 3yo. Fab splash park, great food, rooms with separate bedrooms, near the beach and walkable into Paphos town. Go in term time and I’m sure you can get that in budget.

We stayed in a fishing village room, and had loads of space. The little kitchenette is really handy with small kids and the balcony was nice and big too. Would definitely recommend!

Paloma Grida village in Antalya Turkey is perfect , it's set up for families and kids , the foods great and the rooms are comfortable. Well worth a look 😁

As far as splash pools go, you can’t get much better than Grecotel Marine Palace

We did Tagoro in Tenerife, weather perfect, not too hot, splash park and just generally a nice hotel. We paid £2.1k for 3 adults and free child place. I would recommend
