Where to go for a weekend of snow?

Where I live in the UK will not see snow this year. Son is gutted so thinking of spending my holiday fund on a long weekend away somewhere snowy. Don't have enough money for skiing but would love some suggestions for somewhere not super pricey and snowy!

Have you considered Tallinn in Estonia? It's a beautiful place, and very reasonable. You could take your little/big one ice skating. They have zimmer frames if you're not that confident. 😆

Huddersfield this weekend 😁

Just north of Manchester on the Pennines. My father lives there and is currently snowed in.

Try Leeds Bradford airport. My flight home's been cancelled two nights on the trot, can't get home till Wednesday at the earliest.

When are you planning on going. There is snow in the Cairngorms currently. See webcams. www.cairngormmountain.co.uk/#cam

What do you plan to do in the snow?
Hike, snowshoe, sledge, Cross country skiing? If you don’t ski sometimes the activities can be quite limited. It’s cold being outside if you don’t Ski! And the weather can be not do great.
If he really wants snow maybe a trip to slowdome in Uk and use the money towards something else ?

Yes! And you can ski there relatively cheap. We went this half term and there was snow and skiing ⛷️

Penistone Grin
Joking apart, Northern Finland should fit the bill.
