Rotterdam - Euromast stairs on the outside - only way up?

I am planning to visit Rotterdam and would like to go to Euromast. I understand that there is a rotating lift attraction ‘Scoop’ that can take you from the main level right to the top.

As I am quite scared of heights, I just checked some videos on YouTube and it looks like you have to climb some metal stairs on the outside to get to the platform to access the Scoop lift. It looks terrifying.

Does anyone know if there is a way to access it from inside the building? There is not much info on their website.

Many thanks!

I went last year. They were doing building work at the time, so the very top level was shut off. I was under the impression that the last part was done by foot, but I could be wrong.

The views were great from the 'top lift level'. Takes a minute to get used to the height. But you really realise just how flat the Netherlands are; you also get a sense that shipping was and is an integral part of their economy.

I visited last September and the Euroscoop part was closed that day owing to technical issues.

There are three separate viewing platforms below the Euroscoop: the lift takes you to the first, then the metal steps take you up to the other two. You still get great views from the first one though as there's only a few metres between each level.

I remember seeing the steps outside leading to the Euroscoop closed off, so perhaps that is the only way.
I'd suggest using the online form in the Contact section of their website to ask them. Staff were very friendly when I was there.

Enjoy Rotterdam! It's an amazing city. Look into getting a Rotterdam Welcome Card if you haven't already heard of them, as they give good discounts on many attractions including the Euromast.

Thanks both!
