Need inspiration

Looking for holiday inspiration for DH and I. Having a week away alone (DC are now old enough to go away with friends). Just looking for a week away in June/July, short haul destination. We like nice restaurants, bars beach, walks, easy to please really! Previous holidays we have enjoyed were Nerja, Rethymno, Chania

Nerja is lovely isn't it. My favourite Greek island is Skiathos. Just beautiful and skiathos old town has great restaurants and bars. It's more expensive though than the bigger islands

Mallorca is stunning. Palma is like a little Barcelona and the Northern coast around Deia or Soller is amazing for walks and foodies

Love Mallorca, went to Cala D’or with the family last year which we all loved. Will definitely look at Soller, it sounds exactly our type of place.

Cascais in Portugal is great for walking. It’s a stunning town and close enough to Lisbon for a day trip.

Sorrento is beautiful.

Marrakesh is fab for a grown ups only break. No beach but all the rest of it is what you're after. Fairmont is lovely, one of best hotels I've ever stayed in and not stupid ££.

I’ve been to Marrakesh on a girls trip about 15 years ago. I’ve been looking at some of the newer hotels, they look stunning and very reasonable. Looks completely different from when I last visited there.

Another vote for Skiathos, beautiful sandy beaches
