Vegas and Grand Canyon recommendations

Hi we are doing a road trip from Vegas up to the southern rim of the GC then down to Phoenix in an RV with 3 under 10's. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to see/camp/hotels etc?

Am currently lying in a Venetian Tower bed which is exceptionally comfortable, it’s 12.30am and I’ve been wandering round with adults plus a toddler and a bday (not mine!) for the evening. All very child friendly.

The National Parks website is helpful. www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/cg-sr.htm

The National Parks usually have free Ranger and Junior Ranger programmes, along with walking routes etc.
