Fast track passport - how long

If anyone has used the 7 day fast track to replace a lost British Adult passport recently, can you share how long it actually took?

Submitted at Newport and meant to be travelling in less than 7 days.

I did this last year and the passport was with me within a few days.

Thanks @PizzaPastaWine that gives me some hope. When you say a few do you mean within 5 days?

I had to do this the other week for my lost passport.

I had the appointment on Thursday (16th) and my passport was delivered on the Tuesday. Was very impressed.

Yes it was. I'm sure my timescale was the same as the previous poster.

We had the appt on a Thursday in London. Passports arrived the following Thursday.

Thank you all. Fingers crossed it arrives by Wednesday.

Update: passport is out for delivery. Amazing service. Submitted Friday morning. Thank you passport people.

Hi I went for a passport for my daughter on Monday, not heard anything back yet, I know I have til Monday but does anyone know if we're allowed to track fast track passports or does it hinder the process, was told it does so I haven't taken that risk, has anyone ever managed to track it using the fast track service please? I go away on the 12th April and its sending my anxiety through the roof, I'm a nervous wreck
