Orlando spending money

Hello all,

We're off to Orlando in September for 12 days - hotel and tickets already paid for so wondering what we should take to cover food, possibly some merch, Ubers etc as I appreciate everything has sky rocketed in america like it has here!

I know everyone's budgets different and someone might be okay okay $250 a day where as someone else might need $2500 a day but what do you think is a reasonable amount for 2 adults?

How did you get on in Orlando @ghyt ?

@overthehillswegoo we did ok thank you! We did overspend by about £200 I think it was (but this includes outlet shopping which wasn't the plan, we ended up buying a fair bit more than planned thanks to the email about the £100 each we'd be getting from Nationwide lol) we did cancel a couple of table service in the end though (Beaches N cream and Homecomin)

So I did find it a little restrictive, the portions are not what they were, and it is quite shocking how much more expensive QS style meals in the US are now. But it was doable, we still had alcohol, several TS meals and portions were big enough we didn't often go for dessert, taking little squash bottles to drink the free water saved us tons, and a supermarket shop to bulk buy snacks for breakfast so we only ate 2 meals a day.

I was happy with our $4000, but would have struggled with less, that unaccounted for $1000 was spent easily (not necessarily food though).

Ah, good news that you didn't feel you overspent @ghyt
I'm glad you had a great time

Jealous of everyone whose already been and glad to hear you've had an amazing time.

Our holiday has now changed and six people will be going ages 30,28,80,10,2 and 1 so I'm upping it to $600 a day and just praying that'll be enough Grin (it'll have to be) but we are staying in like a self catering apartment so breakfast and some snacks can be had at home.
