Tenerife restaurant recommendations

Going to Tenerife for the first time in two weeks. Staying next to Playa del Duque and would love to know if anyone has any good restaurant recommendations / anything else that is a must do in the area and in Tenerife in general. We aren't renting a car so preferably places close to where we are staying.

Ooh which hotel are you in ?

We always have an evening at The Torre Del Mirador. It's a bit style over substance but if you ask for a front row table on the terrace, it's magical watching the sun go down.

If you want something less expensive turn left rather than right towards Costa Adeje direction and there's a number of mid priced fairly decent restaurants.

Caleta village is about a half hour walk - but it's a nice walk along the front and an 8 euro taxi back. The restaurants there are more authentic and there is some great seafood- can't recommend a specific one unfortunately but we've never had a bad meal there.

El Makami, Orange Cafe (both small beachside cafes but lovely tapas and sunset views). Bloom Bar in La Caleta for brunch and fabulous cocktails. San Marco in Dukes shops opposite GF Isabel does a nice reasonably priced pizza if you just want a quick bite to eat. The ‘venture’ chain of restaurants have yet to disappoint too so check those out . Honestly you are spoilt for choice in terms ot places to eat.

Things to do, paragliding, whale watching, siam park have all been hits. If you are going with children then Monkey Park was worth an afternoon. You can easily get taxis anywhere not walkable. Walk the promenade for Playa del duque round to La Caleta or the other direction towards fanabe if you want more ‘touristy’ but good atmosphere. Have a great time.

Ahhh thank you all so much! We are staying at the Vincci Seleccion La Plantacion so these are all great recommendations for our location. Really excited for some sun!! Keep them coming if you have anymore 😊.

We had a really fun evening at the Genghis Khan Grill in Caleta. The steak was phenomenal and you finish it off yourself on BBQ grills in the middle of the table.

Not a swanky setting by any means but a lot of fun.

We also did a stargazing trip which was amazing, far better than I had anticipated and the kids were completely enthralled too. Take warm clothes if you do that though as it was v cold on top of the mountain!
