Would love to visit Portugal this year. Do you have any recommendations of hotels/resorts? Ideally a separate room for 4 year old who falls asleep at 7pm!

We stayed in an apartment in Martinhal Sagres resort several years ago, off season because it's out of price range high season. Our DD had her own room but ended up in our bed. Sagres can be rather windy, but they have other resorts in Portugal. The apartment was great because we could stay up in the living room when DD was in bed.

Carvoeiro is a very family friendly resort. I am biased as I live here.

There are lots of s/c apartments and villas close to the beach, restaurants etc, but not so many hotels

Happy to answer any questions

Many years ago we stayed in Carvoeiro at the Monte Santo resort with ds who was a baby. Was lovely! apartments, kids in separate room. Lovely pool area.

Another vote for Martinhal, also have a look at Salema Beach Village in Salema- beach is gorgeous and huge and the resort is made up of houses so you’d def get the separate bedroom! We have stayed at a couple of other places in Tavira ( highly recommended!) and a bit more inland. Have a look at Alastair Sawday too, he has some beautiful properties on smaller complexes. Have a fab time!
