Recommendations of restaurants in Paris good for limited eaters

We’re off to Paris for a couple of nights later in the year. Both kids have ASD and have very strong food preferences so spontaneity with food isn’t an option.

When out and about, one or both of them will happily eat beef/chicken burgers, hot dogs, pizza/pasta and fish and chips - as long as it’s all customisable.

In the UK, pizza express, 5 guys and Nando’s are safe favourites, so was looking for recommendations please of any French equivalents?

If necessary though we will just go to McDonald’s a lot 😆

Can I recommend a YouTube couple called Les Frenchies. He's French/American and she's American. Their videos cover lots of different aspects of holidays in Paris with a large number of them being about the food. Last one included a bit of eating on the go eg sandwiches and ice creams etc. They always include the price and the ratings and also the area, and which Metro etc. This would be a great place to start.

Thanks for those! They all look just the thing for us!

Check out Breakfast in America; two locations in Paris. American diner which is great for breakfast/lunch and brunch. The Sorbonne location is neat the Jardin des Plantes (nice place to take kids, plus the zoo there is good).

There is a chain called Big Mamma; they own several pizza places including Pizza Populare. Very chic and good for dinner (need to book).

As mentioned above, the Hippopotamus chain do basic, ok food.

Went to Paris recently with teen DS who has ASD and very limited with food. What I noticed is that there are LOADS of casual cafe/bar/brasserie type restaurants that sell non fancy food such as burgers, pizza and of course chips! We stayed near Hotel de Ville but I noticed similar in most areas. On the first night he had omelette & chips, second night margherita pizza, both restaurants a stones throw from our hotel and there were plenty similar. Crepes for lunch was also a winner, lots of takeaway places selling those!

We went to 5 guys near opera garnier for this reason! And mcdonalds...
Mine don't like anything to be done differently and we just went with it tbh. We stopped in cafes more for us to expereicne Paris and they had hot chocolate. Also crepes. But meals we made sure were familiar.

Leon de Bruxelles! It’s a really lovely chain and likely ticks all the boxes.
McDonalds is always a good friend too.
