Looking for a weeks Summer holiday for me 58, and three DS 25, 22 and 19 ...

Needs to be warm and with something to don. Either town to mooch around / water sports / archeology - something to entertain us ! And not too hideously expensive ...

We can go early July as Unis are finished by then so before main Summer holiday ..

What length of flight are you looking for?

Rethymon in Crete. Beach, old town to mooch around, castle/historical things, plus a day trip and you can see Heraklion and Knossos

Malaga city- not the many beach resorts down the Costa del Sol coast. Pre-covid, Malaga city was 3 euro bus from airport to the city. Easy to walk around. Picasso museum, castle, beach, coastal walks and cafes. We did a day trip via train to Ronda which was amazing.

Any length of flight really - but as only a week I think we are looking a short haul ... I'm looking at the idea of a Med cruise ..could be really good !

Lake Annecy. Fly into Geneva and rent a car. There are watersports, gorgeous hikes etc. and the old town is beautiful.

Sicily has it all. We stayed in Taormina and Ortigia (Siracusa). There are beaches, Roman buildings 🏛️ and lovely Baroque architecture. We did a trip up Etna but there are also vineyard tours.

Any hotel recommendations in Syracuse? Thanks for the suggestions so far - DS2 sats he won't consider a cruise ..🤯

Has DS2 seen the royal carribean ships with proper nightclubs on? they host singles events too, most people have no idea how good it will be until you try it

We stay in apartments not hotels so I can't help with that. We stayed in an apartment called Casa Aretusa on Ortigia. Didn't look great on the outside but was gorgeous inside.
