Booked to go to Spain now don't want to go

I've been nagging dh for days that we need to book a summer holiday as prices are going up. Spend weeks trawling the net and uhming and aahing where to go. Last summer we went to a part of Spain and we both had a lovely time. Decided that because it was the most reasonable option price wise, we should go again. Booked just the flights and now I'm thinking f'ck I don't want to go. Should have booked somewhere else.

Can you not choose another area and travel a bit further from the airport ?

Yes, I'll look at going to a different town/area. It's more that I have been to Spain umpteen times and it just all feels a bit same-y.

I like going to new places, and having new experiences.

There are some amazing places to visit in Spain and the infrastructure is good, use your flights as a base to travel further afield.

It doesn't help that it's one of the islands. (Majorca).

Could you use ferries to island hop a bit? Not so easy if you have kids perhaps. Even on the islands there are nice little typical Spanish villages with fincas and rural hotels you can stay in. Worst case scenario, a good book and enjoy some great tapas and the sunshine !

I cancelled it - realised there was a 24 hour cooling off period. Will go to Italy or somewhere instead.
