Looking for some recommendations of people who have done Peppa Pig world without a car?

LG will be 2 over the summer and would love to take her but don't drive.. Plan would be train to Southampton and taxi to hotel and stay for 1 or 2 nights... What i cant figure out is do any of the Paultons recommended hotels do shuttles to the park or is there any hotel which is walking distance? Will be solo with little one so dont really want to be too far away or have long bus journeys at the end of the days in park.. Thanks!

The Mortimer arms is a short walk, and just outside the grounds. The other option is the premier inn, which is walkable (15-20m), albiet along a fairly narrow pavement by a busy road. Either would be fine I think.

Southampton has uber, so that can be your backup solution if you aren't staying close enough.

I’d go for a walkable solution; we’ve seen many a family waiting 2 hours for a taxi at the end of the day, it’s not a well-served taxi service.

There is a bus so you can also contact them to get details. I haven't seen this bus but only the one to the nearly Marwell Zoo. I'd expect they'll be running over summer.

Mortimer Arms is at the end of the driveway leading to the park, and the Premier Inn (Vine pub) is down the road - the shortest route is walkable via pavement by a main road. There is a bus stop just outside though. Don't stay too far into Totton if that's where you're going, the bus is irregular.

Going to add that if you can book to stay at Mortimer Pub, that's the best. I am local but have had lunch a few times. It's really the closest you can get to the park.

This is the link. www.mortimerarms.co.uk/
The premier inn is fairly close too and just slightly further down the road. www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/hampshire/southampton/southampton-west.html

Looking at the park website, neither are on there! It actually have places in Portsmouth, Basingstoke and Newbury listed. Quite ridiculous if you ask me.

Thanks everyone, Mortimer Arms is exactly what i was hoping for, so strange that its not on their website! That looks perfect

We done Peppa Pig World with our little girl when she was 2, and we don't drive. We got the train from London to Southampton, then we just stayed in the premier inn Southampton city centre.
It was a basic room, but very clean and overall we were happy with it and we would return. Every day we just got ubers to and from peppa pig world, we also done a day trip to longdown activity farm, which was actually our favourite day. They had trampolines, we fed baby goats and lambs, tractor rides etc.
What we also liked about the premier inn was that it was in a really good location, we walked to the shops, there is a lovely park about 2 minutes from it with a fantastic playground, massive sand pit and pirate ship, and water play, and we could walk everywhere.
