When you outgrow Eurocamp-type holidays

We have loved our family holidays with Eurocamp (and similar) over the years, but I think last summer was our last 😢 We have one child, 15, and she’s not getting the same fun from it anymore. The pools and lazy river aren’t doing it for her anymore 🤣Fair enough, time to change! But I’d really like to hear what others do in a similar set-up.

DD isn’t likely to be stopping going on holiday with us for a few years yet, so we’re still very much in the market for a family summer holiday. Just wondering what that means with a teen. We’re reasonably adventurous, looking for some inspiration.

I’d love to hear where you go with your 15+ kids 😁

Interrail?

City breaks! My mum took me on lots of city breaks when I was an older teenager and I loved it. What sort of thing does she enjoy?

City breaks are definitely something we would all enjoy - we’ve already done one in the UK this year. I like the idea of combining a city break abroad with inter railing - great ideas! We’ve done a bit of train travel in Italy, so we’re up for that.

That’s an interesting suggestion - I went to the US on holiday at a similar age, not sure why I haven’t considered it for us. Seems like it would be too expensive 🤔 I will do some research! I need to get out of our little comfort zone

I have taken my children on holidays with Intrepid. They have specific family breaks for teenagers and go to some fascinating places.
