Tell me about Gran Canaria

We’ve been to Lanzarote several times and absolutely love it. We have also been to Tenerife and Fuerteventura. Next time we would like to go to Gran Canaria.
Can you tell me which the nicest resorts are? We want a more traditional location, we don’t like Irish pubs, sports bars, clubs etc.
Usually we have a private villa as that works for us, but not averse to a nice adult only hotel.
TIA

Puerto de Mogan is lovely. It’s pretty, feels authentic and has some upmarket shops and restaurants. The main beach is small but it has golden sand and clear water, and it’s close to other resorts with larger beaches such as Puerto Rico and Maspalomas, which are both under a half an hour drive away. There are several fantastic coastal walking trails that begin near the town too.

Second this it's lovely. Not been for over a decade though! Does it still have the lovely tapas restaurant all the way round the end of the harbour? And the submarine?

Thank you. That sounds like the lovely place we go to on Lanzarote (Puerto Calero). I’ll take a look at villas in that area.
