Good travel insurance

Is anyone able to recommend a travel insurer (travelling from the uk to aus) that they have had a good experience with. I want to make sure I go with someone who would actually pay out having heard so many bad stories. Thank you :)

I have travel insurance with my bank account (HSBC). The monthly fee pays for itself every year (apart from 2020 and 2021 😂). It includes DH as well and UK travel. I got it when I was going to Australia and it's always in place.

Fortunately I haven't had to test it myself but a friend was stuck in Hong Kong during the Icelandic ash cloud and said they were brilliant.

I also have insurance through my bank account. They were great when we went to Australia and my daughter became ill and couldn't fly back. We rearranged flights and they paid no hassle.

You should look at the Martin Lewis website for advice on travel insurance. I also have insurance through my bank and I am covered for Covid as well.
