Italy hotel recommendations please

Looking to go to Italy in august with teens/young adults. We are open to the Italian lakes, Sicily, Sardinia or somewhere else on the mainland.

The hotel is very important. Doesn’t have to be on a beach necessarily but must have a nice big pool area, plenty of sun beds, pool bar etc.

Any recommendations please?

Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort and Spa or Tui Magic Life Calabria

A few years ago we stayed in hotel I melogarani in the Gargano . It's in Vieste which must be one of the most beautiful towns ever.
Hotel is 4 stars lovely pool easy walk to town very Italian and safe. My son and nephew who were about 12 used to go out for pizzas at lunchtime very safe.
Thinking I'll go back myself!,,
