Hotels in Europe with childcare/crèche

hi everyone. Looking for somewhere to stay for a few nights in Europe with our 18m old. Ideally somewhere with a crèche so we can have a few hours to ourselves but also not keen on huge family resorts (I’ve no doubt that’s our future but for now would prefer something with an adult focus too!). Any suggestions?

Tui Blue holidays have kids clubs that cater for babies. We didn’t realise so many places restricted kids clubs to age 4 or 5 plus and TUI Blue was one of the only ones that offered it but they are big resort type places!

Hmm most places with a creche will also be a big family resort with kids club etc.

However, lots of non family focused places don’t have a creche but can arrange a babysitter, would that be ok?

Alternatively you could go for a family place (like Ikos) as you may find that outside school holidays there aren’t many kids over 5 there anyway. But there probably will be a lot of under 5s.

Have a look on i-escape with kids, Tots Too, Babyfriendlyboltholes and Smith & Family.

Martinhal Chiado in Lisbon is amazing for families. Kids club 2-10pm if you want.
They have others too.

All of the responses so far have assumed that the OP wants sea and sun.

For something different there are "Kinderhotels" in Austria and Germany that are set up to cater for families with children. They are usually run by a family and located in the mountains or near a lake (or both) and often next to working farms, so there are animals and pets around too. Ellmauhof in Hinterglemm is an example that I know well - there are others organised in an informal "Kinderhotels" marketing chain.

Parco San Marco - small resort just on the Italian side of Lake Lugano. They have daycare and also day courses for older kids, but also child free pool and options for adults. Great food, good day trips - half an hour to Lake Como. Several pools plus their own stretch of beach which is great for sunrise swimming.
