Lanzarote with toddler

Hi going to Lanzarote end of March with DD (3). Staying in Puerto del Carmen. I have booked a yellow submarine safari which she will love. Any other activity recommendations? I'm looking at some of the volcano tours, think a full day may be too much but might do a half day. Thanks.

I've never been but just wanted to say I hope you have a great holiday I've heard it's a great place to holiday !

Been to Lanzarote with a toddler but didn't do activities other than a kind of beach-nap-pool type rota which honestly was a huge success. A bucket and a spade was hours of fun at that age! I would just see how you go and what's being advertised that might interest you when you are there. There are a couple of water parks that are a bit more toddler friendly, perhaps? Or the aquarium- apparently they rescue turtles!

Ooh an aquarium sounds good! Thanks Smile

We went back in September with our 1.5 year old. The submarine was amazing! There is a lovely zoo/water park called Rancho Texas which was so so good for all ages and the food onsite is good value for money. We stayed on the South of the Island and hiked up a local volcano one morning with toddler in a carrier. We didn't do the Timanfaya national park tour as when I was reading about it, it was mostly coach based and a small amount of time outside in the national park and I wasn't confident I could keep my little one entertained for that long stuck on a coach.

Thanks, I was thinking the same about the tours. She does love buses though so might cope with a half day trip.

Will look at Rancho Texas too, thanks!

The small beach called Playa Chica can be better for a toddler than the big beach in Puerto del Carmen. More protected, smaller waves, lots of fish to look at.

There's a walkway to it now on the beach side of the Fariones hotel.

Came on to say rancho Texas. They used to have a water park bit too but I think it opens May onwards. Really nice day out. Enjoy!

That sounds lovely, thanks!
