As one datapoint, I applied for a new passport on February 7th, but then took a week to send off my old one. It was received by the Hemel Hempstead office on the 15th Feb, and today I got two emails…one this morning saying my application had been approved, and one this evening saying my new passport had been printed. Which I think is pretty good!
