Mitsis Blue Domes Kos or Ikos Aria?

We are looking to book an all inclusive summer holiday for 2 adults and 2 kids (4yo and 1yo). We’ve looked at Mitsis Blue Domes in Kos which seems to fit the bill but are concerned by some of the TripAdvisor reviews (especially re: restaurants all being booked up and unhelpful staff).

We’ve also looked at Ikos Aria which has better reviews but is more expensive.

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on either of these resorts? (Or any other recommendations.) We are trying to make the most of our last holiday before we are restricted to school holidays!

Thanks in advance :)

What is the price difference? I’d do Ikos if you can as Ikos in school holidays is £££. I have been researching the difference online (not gone myself though yet). Mitsis are meant to be next rung down from Ikos so would expect it to be cheaper but when I was looking there were a few too many negative reviews about the food and lunch queues.

I've been to blue domes and I really didn't like it, I've been to a few all inclusive places.

Restaurant/buffet is a huge slog up so many stairs. Or had to push tired kid in a buggy up a huge hill.
The pools are salt water and unheated
The cafes were okay but always packed

Beach is meh

Thanks both - this is really helpful. I think we will give Blue Domes a miss. It’s cheaper but still a lot to spend on a holiday for it to be a disappointment.

Thanks @hellodarknessmyoldfriend22 that’s good to know - it looked great on the website but I wasn’t sure how the reality compares!

I have stayed at blue domes, avoid if you can. As PP the restaurant is a nightmare, the worse reception staff ever and the resort is a wind tunnel. Aria looks amazing, we were in Kefalos during covid and it's a lovely village, definitely take advantage of the dine around. Its on my list to go back and stay at Aria. The new Ikos in corfu has good prices at the moment.

Ikos!

We stayed in a different Ikos and it was utterly fabulous. Definitely worth doing if you can afford it.

How about Blue Lagoon Village?

Stayed in Ikos Dassia last year and will do again in April . It's just fantastic . Read the reviews - almost flawless . Full 5 star rating on TA.

Ikos is off the scale fabulous. It’s a fortune but if you can stretch to it it’s totally worth it

We loved Ikos Aria and would go again if we got the opportunity

Have been to three different Ikos and you really cannot imagine anywhere nicer. They are all gorgeous
