We decided on a last minute ( in a couple of weeks ) trip to Disneyland Paris and a couple of days visiting Paris .
Its my step kids and my younger daughters first time at Disney and as there is 7 of us I thought a house would be better this time .
First house , great reviews , suited us perfectly boooked before booking any flights or tickets . Cancelled today as they had issues with the boiler catching fire , refused to refund as they offered another property they had , then got cross when I refused as it was 1 room smaller , had no tv and no dishwasher no en-suite and was a terraced home ( initial home was detached ) . Bearing in mind I paid for a premium property I said no . Actually had to call Airbnb and 3 phone calls and me loosing my patience on the phone later they refunded in full . Refund takes 10 days so I’m down over 1k and booked another property .It’s still pending to be accepted , for hours now , another £1200 paid and it might not be approved . If it’s not approved it’s another 10 days to be refunded and I’m still without a home with flights and tickets paid for !
Bearing in mind I’m also a co host in a ainbnb property and I know how it works , I have used Airbnb for years ( all my own reviews are great ) and I never once had to cancel a booking or had a booking canceled , I’m really pissed off !
Is this a thing in France hosting or was I just extremely unlucky ?
