Stag do in Spain - no strip clubs

I'm helping plan a stag do. I'm female but the groom is my best friend so I've been invited. Unconventional I know.

We have decided on Spain but can anyone recommend somewhere without strip clubs if that exists? Don't want this turning into a seedy lads holiday as I also know the bride to be won't be impressed.

My top choice was Marbella but looks like strip clubs galore. I looked at Ibiza as well. Looks like there's only one dodgy looking strip club there so could be an idea? The main strip club Taboo looks to have closed.

Just because strip clubs exist in a resort doesn’t mean you have to go.

Clearly he doesn't if the OP is female and is on the trip. What a ridiculous comment. I'm sure if a man had posted this thread you'd be berating him for wanting a "disgusting" seedy stag do!

A lot of likely destinations will have strip clubs. As a pp said the stag and friends don’t have to go to them! Is your fear that with alcohol the group will want to do it? That would put me off going. It’s not fucking inevitable and I hate it when men pretend it is as some kind of an excuse. It’s always a choice.

Yeh it's exactly that. The excessive alcohol. Most of the lads have said they're not bothered about strip clubs but will go if others want to. 2 of the lads (also the louder more alpha males if you will) said they'd go if there's a "decent" one and will no doubt then encourage all the others to go.

I'm keen on Ibiza as there's a good clubbing drinking scene and doesn't seem like it's heavy on the strip clubs but hard to say from an online Google. Do strip clubs all have websites???

Just plan an itinerary, with the numbers likely going on a stag do you will need to anyway; so daytime event, bar for pre drinks, restaurant for diner, bar for after, club for after that. If people choose to divert you can't do anything more and they may split off but not your responsibility and you'll probably find most won't.

Every town or city around the world will have them unless you hire a villa or cottage in the middle of nowhere

I think book whatever suits and if they choose to go it's up to them

What about Barcelona? There will be strip clubs there no doubt but so much else to do.

Do most of you follow football? The guided tour of the Nou Camp is amazing, I’m not a football fan but loved it, and the bar and tapas scene is epic.

A good mix would include something like the above, breakfast on bar stools in the Boqueiria market off the Ramblas, drinks and tapas in the old town, Barceloneta and other areas, open top bus tour one morning after etc. There are lots of clubs.

I think you’ll struggle to find somewhere that doesn’t have any strip clubs. Plan the main bits like activities and dinner but you can’t stop other participants going off to a strip club or whatever they want.

i went on a hen weekend to Benidorm and we went to a magic Mike night (full strip show). Best night ever.

You are right to be worried it seems, “not bothered about strip clubs but will go if others want to” is code for I don’t want the accountability of suggesting it but I’m going along once someone else moots it 🙄

It's not impossible for any of them to say “well I won’t be going to any strip clubs.”

Before his stag do DH told his sometimes sleazy best man that if any strippers turned up he’d fuck off and wouldn’t come back (they were doing a residential activity in the arse end of nowhere). His best man will have known he wasn’t joking, not because DH is a monk, but because he knows if he’s set his mind to something he won’t budge. I find men who claim to just go along with the herd pathetic.

I think you need to stop trying to potentially control where grown adults might want to go. Just book a holiday and they will go where they please, as will you.
