Yes, we were respectful outwardly of course, but it did make me shudder to think of all the atrocities committed by men in similar costumes all in the name of "God". We didn't stay long.

Edinburgh - arrive Good Friday for four nights. We have tickets to see Charlie and the chocolate factory but no other plans.

We will go to Prague this year but if I could I would go back to the Caribbean or Mexico during April.

DH and I are going to Porto as we haven't been and it had decent flights from our local airport. Have to say it would be nice to be going somewhere warmer for longer, but DS has exams so don't want to be away too long.

We're off to Lisbon to eat all the custard tarts. I understand there are a lot of them but we're emotionally and physically ready to give it a really good go.

We are going to Berlin for a week. Never been. Or actually even wanted to go however my friends were going and invited us along. DS3 (11) is really interested in the wars and history atm so it seemed like an opportunity to have a learning type of holiday. He's also downloaded Duolingo and is trying to learn some German which is cute. Danke.

I'm amazed at how many people go abroad. Very jealous. I have no plans. I will probably see wherever the weather is best in the uk and go there with a tent.

@Roxie99 too early for Ibiza but a lovely time for Madrid.

We're going to Center Parcs in the Netherlands, it was £850 for a premium pod/hut thing which even with fuel and crossing is considerably less than anything half decent I could find in the UK.

We are going to Mauritius. 12 nights all inclusive in a beach resort.

It's a beautiful country with so much to see and do
