First family holiday - recommendations please!

Our ds will be 6 mo when we travel in May on our first holiday. We want beach, nice boutiquey child friendly hotel, good food, etc.
Any ideas or tips? Have been to Majorca the last two years so fancy a change.

We're going to Barcelona in March - dd will be seven months - and everyone has said it is great for babies and there are loads of good choices of hotels and the flights are pretty cheap. We're doing self-catering, but do check it out for the type of hotel you want. The food is meant to be unbeatable.

Don't go to Vienna! It's wonderful and I really loved it - even thought about moving there! but definitely not baby-friendly.
