Canada hotels/restaurants asking for proof of vaccine to enter??

Canada national requirements for entry & travel do not require covid vaccination or proof. Apparently the government have left it up to individual businesses to decide whether to ask for evidence in order to access the business e.g. shops/restaurants etc, but I can't see any recent info on this.

Has anyone experienced this in Canada recently?

I returned from Vancouver this weekend - wasn’t ask for any proof of vaccination in any of the restaurants and bars we went to, nor at the airport.

We went last June. No proof of anything asked for.

We are in Canada now and have not been asked. A few people in masks , more in the last couple of days but generally everything is as pre Covid .
