Just a quick one...

My 17yo ds is off to Seville for 2 weeks. First time abroad so I'm a little anxious.
Does anyone have any tips or just general comments about Seville? Anything he should look out for?
Thank you if you reply!

It’s gorgeous and compact.

Apart from all the usual tourist places which you can’t really miss, he must go to El Rinconcillo for authentic tapas. They chalk up your bill on the bar as you go.

Lovely place and I generally feel safe there.
The only thing to watch is the Roma women who thrust small bunches of white flowers at you near the cathedral. If you take them they will yell at you to try and get you to give them money but if you just keep your hands by your sides it’s ok

We felt very safe there visiting with 3 little ones in 2019. It was a really beautiful city and we had a great time, I hope he loves it!

We went New Year 2019. Have done loads of city breaks and this was one of my very favourites. Was t shirt weather too during the day.
Beautiful city.
Just watch your back for the electric scooters. Absolutely everywhere and saw more than one nasty collision!

look for the bars and cafe's the locals use much better and cheaper

Thank you everyone. I've taken notes to pass on to him. I'll update in April when he's back and I'm not a nervous wreck!

Following with interest as I'm going to Seville at the end of March.

My DD went last summer. Highlights were hiring a rowing boat and cycling tour.

@Lennybenny how did your son's trip go? Hope he had a wonderful time. 😀

@Lennybenny @MabelStark
Hi. How did the trips go? We are looking to book for spring next year.

MabelStark · 19/09/2023 13:58

We didn't end up going on any trips there was plenty to do in Seville for the 3 days we were there. And it was baking hot! It just got warmer and warmer as the day went on - it was about 27/28 by 6pm every day. It's a great city - very busy though. Make sure you book any tourist places in advance.

ohyesohyesoh · 19/09/2023 14:39

Thanks

Hi, (sorry, I never noticed there'd been a reply in March) he had a great time. It was very hot! The college/company didn't organise it particularly well and they missed out on a few things...but he enjoyed the experience and wants to go again next year!
