South of France hotel recommendations

Hi

We are driving to France for a holiday this summer - looking for recommendations for a hotel in the south for 5/6 days. Not too bothered by being on the beach but a decent pool is a must! Walking distance to a town/restaurants etc. DH and I and DC who will be 13 and 15. We’ve had a brief look at Avignon and around Nice but nothings jumped out at me yet so any hidden gems would be much appreciated
